No shocking result in a game when sixth rankedBallooners (5-6) crushed 8th ranked Brave Thunders (3-8) in Saga 89-67 on Sunday. Saga B. made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (192-1989) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. American Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) accounted for 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Ballooners players scored in double figures. Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-1993, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Canadian-Filipino guard Matthew Wright (193-1991, college: St.Bonaventure) added 15 points, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively for Kawasaki in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saga B. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Akita NH and Yokohama BC. Kawasaki lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers.
