Regular Season Round 11: Gunma CT - Shiga L-Stars 102-65

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Lakestars (1-10) were outscored by third ranked Thunders (7-4) in Gunma 102-65 on Sunday. Gunma CT dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lakestars' 26. Gunma CT had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American center Kaleb Tarczewski (212-1993, college: Arizona) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). His fellow American import guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Thunders players scored in double figures. Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Shintaro Ehara (188-2001) added 11 points respectively for Shiga L-Stars in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Thunders. Gunma CT maintains third place with 7-4 record having just two points less than leader Shimane SM, which they share with Sea Horses M. and Sunrockers Sh. Shiga L-Stars lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Koshigaya A.. Gunma CT will meet league's leader Chiba Jets on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shiga L-Stars will play against Saga B. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
