We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th rankedTangerang (4-4) was crushed at home by ninth ranked Pelita Jaya (4-1) 97-75 on Thursday. Pelita Jaya dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tangerang 's 36. They outrebounded Tangerang 44-32 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pelita Jaya looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Tangerang 's players. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward James Dickey III (208-1996, college: UNCG) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward KJ McDaniels (197-1993, college: Clemson) chipped in 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Stephaun Branch (196-1995, college: UWG) who recorded 17 points and 5 assists and center Jarred Shaw (211-1990, college: Utah St.) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Tangerang players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place. Loser Tangerang dropped to the ninth position with four games lost.
