There was a minor upset in Tianjin where 16th rankedFlying Tigers (13-25) were edged by eighteenth ranked Pioneers (12-26) 100-98 on Monday. Tianjin P. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Javion Hamlet (193-1998, college: N.Texas) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists and Taiwanese guard Benson Lin (193-1999, college: Bryant) who added 18 points and 6 assists during the contest. American point guard Boo Buie (183-2000, college: Northwestern) responded with 14 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Zach Nutall (190-1999, college: SMU) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tianjin P. maintains eighteenth position with 12-26 record. Loser Flying Tigers dropped to the seventeenth place with 25 games lost.
