Not a big story in a game when 11th rankedLoongs (18-18) lost to third ranked Leopards (25-11) in Taiyuan 98-103 on Thursday. Shenzhen L. outrebounded Shanxi L. 46-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. Shenzhen L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international forward Haoran Wang (205-2004) notched 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American Alize Johnson (206-1996, college: Missouri St.) supported him with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Four Leopards players scored in double figures. Even 23 points, 9 assists and 5 steals by American guard Marcos Knight (191-1989, college: MTSU, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Shanxi L. . Guinean-American Hamidou Diallo (198-1998, college: Kentucky) added 21 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Leopards have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Shenzhen L. maintains third position with 25-11 record having nine points less than leader Shanghai S. Loser Loongs keeps the eleventh place with 18 games lost.
