Bottom-rankedBlue Whales is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 36th consecutive match to tenth ranked Flying Leopards (20-16) 106-64 on Sunday evening. Liaoning dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Blue Whales 's 34. Liaoning outrebounded Sichuan 38-13 including a 30-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liaoning looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Sichuan 's players. The winners were led by American guard Dezmine Wells (196-1992, college: Maryland) who scored that evening 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Chenzhifeng Zhang supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 4 assists by American-Puerto Rican Kyle Vinales (188-1992, college: CCSU) did not help to save the game for Sichuan . Zhennian Zuo (201-1996) added 9 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Liaoning moved-up to ninth place. Loser Blue Whales still closes the standings.
