Regular Season Round 27: HK JinNiu - Zhangjiakou 112-63

NBL top team - HK JinNiu (21-3) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Zhangjiakou (0-24) in Hong Kong 112-63. HK JinNiu made 26-of-29 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Zhangjiakou turnovers and outrebounded them 34-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a quality performance for American guard Mason Jones (193-1998, college: Arkansas) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Nigerian-American swingman EJ Anosike (199-1998, college: CS Fullerton) accounted for 21 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five HK JinNiu players scored in double figures. Forward Yutian Li (195-2005) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Amir Yusuf (206-1998, college: Talladega) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Zhangjiakou in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for HK JinNiu. They maintain first place with 21-3 record. Zhangjiakou lost their twenty fourth game in a row. They still close the standings. HK JinNiu will meet Hebei (#5) on the road in the next round. Zhangjiakou will play against Hubei (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
