There was no surprise in Qingdao where 17th rankedSturgeons (8-16) were crushed by sixth ranked Eagles (15-9) 114-84 on Thursday. Qingdao E. shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Fujian S. 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-1996, college: MSU) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Jordan Mickey (203-1994, college: LSU) who added 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Eagles players scored in double figures. At the losing side French power forward Yoan Makoundou (207-2000) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard QJ Peterson (183-1994, college: VMI, agency: JCK Sports Group) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eagles have a solid three-game winning streak. Qingdao E. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Beijing D. Fujian S. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Nanjing.
