No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedSwordfish (13-8) crushed 11th ranked Red Wolves (2-19) in Weinan 90-67 on Thursday. Shanghai dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Red Wolves 's 36. Shanghai outrebounded Shaanxi 38-21 including a 29-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Ruthy Hebard (192-1998, college: Oregon) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side and her fellow American import point guard Chennedy Carter (175-1998, college: Texas A&M) accounted for 28 points and 5 assists. American power forward Sidney Cooks (193-1998, college: Seton Hall) came up with 27 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Zhuoya Fang (166-2000) added 17 points respectively for Shaanxi in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai maintains fifth place with 13-8 record, which they share with Xinjiang. Shaanxi lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 19 games lost. They share it with Zhejiang.
