There was a surprise result when ninth rankedLeopards (6-5) defeated higher ranked Eagles (8-3) in Qingdao 92-83 on Monday. Shenzhen L. made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shenzhen L. made 8 blocks. The winners were led by American guard Terquavion Smith (193-2002, college: NC State) who scored that evening 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Haoran Wang supported him with 11 points. Leopards' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists by American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-1996, college: MSU) did not help to save the game for Qingdao E. . His fellow American import power forward Jordan Mickey (203-1994, college: LSU) added 23 points and 15 rebounds. Shenzhen L. moved-up to seventh place. Loser Eagles dropped to the fifth position with three games lost.
