Pioneers has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Monkey Kings (2-4) on the road game in Jiangsu 104-76 . Tianjin P. dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Monkey Kings 's 56. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Scottie James Jr (202-1996, college: Liberty, agency: Pensack Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Javion Hamlet (193-1998, college: N.Texas) accounted for 28 points for the winning side. American guard Marcus LoVett Jr (183-1996, college: St.John's, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Haowen Guo (201-2000) added 21 points and 6 assists respectively for Nanjing in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pioneers (1-5) left bottom position moving up to seventeenth place, which they share with Zhejiang GB. and Jiangsu D. Nanjing at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
