Very important is a road loss of second rankedXiamen (3-3) against 114th ranked Hefei (4-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Xiamen was crushed by Hefei in Hefei 78-58 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Xiamen. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Hefei forced 21 Xiamen turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Jaime Nared (188-1995, college: Tennessee) notched 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Diamond Johnson (165-1983, college: Norfolk St., agency: LBM Management) supported her with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Hefei's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points by American-Jordanian guard Aisha Sheppard (175-1998, college: Virginia Tech) did not help to save the game for Xiamen . added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Hefei moved-up to second place, which they share with Shanxi and Sichuan. Loser Xiamen dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Henan.
