There was no surprise in Jinan whereBlue Whales (0-4) were defeated by Heroes (2-1) 94-87 . Shandong H. made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for American Marquese Chriss (206-1997, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Myles Powell (188-1997, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Eugene German (183-1997, college: NIU) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and the former international center Qi Zhou (217-1996) added 18 points in the effort for Sichuan. Five Sichuan players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
