Regular Season Round 38: Shanghai S. - Guangsha L. 92-88

Top ranked Guangsha Lions (31-6) recorded its sixth loss in Shanghai on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by tenth ranked Sharks (22-14) 92-88. Shanghai forced 20 Guangsha L. turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard Eric Bledsoe (185-1989, college: Kentucky) who scored 24 points and 9 assists. The former international center Zhelin Wang (214-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. American Barry Brown Jr (190-1996, college: Kansas St.) produced 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Josh Carlton (209-1999, college: Houston) added 14 points and 21 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shanghai maintains tenth position with 22-14 record. Guangsha L. at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. Shanghai are looking forward to face higher ranked Shandong H. (#4) in Jinan in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Guangsha L. will play on the road against Nanjing in Jiangsu and is hoping to win this game.
