We should mention about the upset which took place in Yingkou, where higher rankedEagles (25-12) were outleveled in a road game by ninth ranked Flying Leopards (24-13) 121-93 on Friday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Eagles. Liaoning dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles 's 46 and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Liaoning outrebounded Qingdao E. 50-35 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liaoning looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Qingdao E. 's players. American guard Dezmine Wells (196-1992, college: Maryland) scored 32 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Jiwei Zhao (184-1995) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists during the contest. International center Hansen Yang (216-2005) responded with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Angjun Duan (-2003) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
