No shocking result in a game when second rankedSports Lottery (18-15) crushed 5th ranked Magic Deer (7-25) in Urumqi 98-69 on Tuesday. Shandong dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Magic Deer 's 32. Shandong looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Australian forward Alanna Smith (193-1996, college: Stanford) nailed a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for the winning side and the former international power forward Yang Hengyu (194-1995) accounted for 14 points and 5 assists. Four Sports Lottery players scored in double figures. American-Jordanian guard Aisha Sheppard (175-1998, college: Virginia Tech) came up with 29 points (made all of her eight free throws) and American center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) added 20 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Xinjiang in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shandong maintains second place with 18-15 record having twelve points less than leader Inner M. Loser Magic Deer keeps the fifth position with 25 games lost. They share it with Ganzhou.
