No shocking result in a game when fifteenth rankedPioneers (11-24) beat 17th ranked Blue Whales (8-27) in Tianjin 97-84 on Saturday. Tianjin made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by Taiwanese guard Ting-Chien Lin (193-1999, college: Bryant) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Marcus LoVett Jr (183-1996, college: St.John's, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 29 points and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points, 22 rebounds and 6 assists by Croatian center Marin Maric (211-1994, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Sichuan . U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-1994, college: Georgia Tech) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists. Four Sichuan players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tianjin maintains fifteenth position with 11-24 record. Sichuan lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth place with 27 games lost. They share the position with Ningbo R. and Guangzhou.
