There was no surprise in Sichuan where 16th rankedBlue Whales (8-26) were defeated by seventh ranked Eagles (23-11) 104-93 on Thursday. Qingdao E. made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (190-1996, college: MSU) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 12 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The former international center Hansen Yang (216-2005) helped adding 22 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-1994, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Croatian center Marin Maric (211-1994, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Qingdao E. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zhejiang GB. Sichuan lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 26 games lost. They share it with Ningbo R. and Guangzhou.
