Regular Season Round 33: Guangsha L. - Sichuan BW 115-99

CBA top team -Guangsha Lions (28-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventeenth ranked Blue Whales (8-24) in Hangzhou 115-99 . Guangsha L. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Blue Whales 's 36 and made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Guangsha L. players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. American Barry Brown Jr (190-1996, college: Kansas St.) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 9 assists for the winners and the former international guard Minghui Sun (187-1996) chipped in 16 points and 18 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Edmond Sumner (198-1995, college: Xavier) with 31 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian center Marin Maric (211-1994, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Sichuan players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guangsha Lions have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Guangsha L. maintains first place with 28-4 record. Sichuan lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 24 games lost. They share it with Ningbo R. and Guangzhou.
