There was a surprise result in Nanjing where nineteenth rankedJiangsu Dragons (5-22) defeated higher ranked Golden Bulls (18-9) 99-93 on Sunday. Jiangsu D. outrebounded Zhejiang GB. 54-37 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jiangsu D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward James Thompson IV (208-1995, college: EMU) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 21 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Jiangsu Dragons' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Gabe York (190-1993, college: Arizona) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and forward Zeyi Liu (202-1999) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jiangsu D. maintains nineteenth position with 5-22 record. Zhejiang GB. lost third consecutive game.
