The most important game in the last round took place in Beijing between second rankedVermilion Birds (14-6) and fifth ranked Beijing Great Wall Vermilion Birds were defeated by Beijing Great Wall in a tough game on the road 96-105 . Beijing dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Vermilion Birds 's 40 and made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Beijing outrebounded Guangdong 31-19 including 20 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bulgarian center Khaalia Hillsman (196-1996, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Aari McDonald (168-1998, college: Arizona) contributed with 25 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Aliyah Collier (183-1997, college: Clemson) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Huang Sijing (192-1996) added 20 points and 6 steals in the effort for Guangdong. Five Beijing and four Guangdong players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Beijing maintains fifth position with 9-10 record. Guangdong at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost.
