Very important is a road loss of second rankedFlying Tigers (17-5) against seventh ranked Flying Leopards (16-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Flying Tigers were crushed by Flying Leopards in Yingkou 115-89 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Flying Tigers. Liaoning forced 20 Xinjiang turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 22 long-distance shots on high 52.4 percentage. Liaoning players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American guard Dezmine Wells (196-1992, college: Maryland) who scored that evening 50 points (!!!) and 6 assists and the former international guard Lanqing Wang (186-1998) supported him with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) did not help to save the game for Xinjiang . Yilifulati Mohtaner added 13 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flying Leopards have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shandong H. Xinjiang at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost.
