Top rankedFlame (12-4) recorded its fourth loss in Taiyuan on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Swordfish (11-5) 79-62 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Flame. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Shanghai made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Shanghai outrebounded Shanxi 43-29 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shanghai looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Brazilian center Kamilla Cardoso (201-2001, college: S.Carolina) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Crystal Bradford (183-1993, college: CMU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Swordfish's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Kelsey Mitchell (173-1995, college: Ohio St.) who recorded 28 points and her fellow American import forward Teana Muldrow (188-1995, college: WVU) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Shanghai maintains second position with 11-5 record having just two points less than leader Sichuan, which they share with Guangdong. Shanxi at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. They share the position with Shaanxi.
