There was a minor upset in Shanghai where their close opponentJilin Tigers (9-12) were outplayed by twelfth ranked Sharks (10-10) 138-107 on Monday. Shanghai dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Jilin Tigers 's 48 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Shanghai forced 23 Jilin NE T. turnovers and outrebounded them 43-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Shanghai looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Jilin NE T. 's players. American forward Kenneth Lofton Jr (201-2002, college: La Tech) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Hongquan Li chipped in 34 points (!!!) during the contest. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Dominique Jones (193-1988, college: S.Florida) responded with 43 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Czech Tomas Kyzlink (198-1993) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Shanghai maintains twelfth position with 10-10 record. Loser Jilin Tigers dropped to the thirteenth place with 12 games lost.
