Everything went according to plan in Guangzhou where eighth rankedGolden Bulls (9-6) outleveled 14th ranked Loong Lions (5-10) 122-93 on Monday. Zhejiang GB. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Loong Lions 's 44 and made 31-of-35 free shots (88.6 percent) during the game. Zhejiang GB. forced 27 Guangzhou turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Guangzhou 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Damian Jones (210-1995, college: Vanderbilt) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and international Shuaipeng Cheng (191-1999) who added 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side American guard Tahjere McCall (193-1994, college: Tennessee St., agency: Slash Sports) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman William Douglas (196-1998, college: PVAMU, agency: BIG) scored 19 points and 5 steals. Five Zhejiang GB. and four Guangzhou players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zhejiang GB. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Qingdao E. and Nanjing. Loser Loong Lions dropped to the fifteenth position with ten games lost.
