Very expected game in Jiangsu where 16th rankedBlue Whales (4-10) were defeated by eleventh ranked Monkey Kings (8-6) 97-83 on Thursday. Nanjing outrebounded Sichuan 45-34 including 30 on the defensive glass. Nanjing looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Wei Lin (-2003) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Jordan Floyd (188-1997, college: King) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Monkey Kings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-1994, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and power forward Jinxiao Li (206-1997) added 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Nanjing moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Zhejiang GB. and Qingdao E. Loser Blue Whales keeps the sixteenth position with ten games lost.
