Regular Season Round 9: Hefei - Ganzhou 77-83

There was a minor upset when 5th rankedHefei (3-3) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Ganzhou (3-5) 83-77 on Tuesday. American power forward Sidney Cooks (193-1998, college: Seton Hall) stepped up and scored 32 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import guard Jaylyn Sherrod (170-2001, college: Colorado) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American center Taiyanna Jackson (198-2000, college: Kansas) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and forward Xing Jinbo (180-1996) scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Ganzhou maintains seventh place with 3-5 record. Hefei at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with three games lost.
