The most exciting game of round 11 in the CBA took place in Sichuan. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-rankedLoongs (8-2) to sixteenth ranked Blue Whales (3-7) 123-120 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Loongs. Sichuan made 33-of-42 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Shanxi L. only scored twelve points from the stripe. Sichuan looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. 33 personal fouls committed by Shanxi L. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Edmond Sumner (198-1995, college: Xavier) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 11 assists. Croatian center Marin Maric (211-1994, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Blue Whales players scored in double figures. American Brandon Goodwin (188-1995, college: FGCU) answered with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 15 assists and the former international Shuai Yuan (194-1994) added 25 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Shanxi L.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sichuan moved-up to fifteenth place. Shanxi L. at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
