Lebanon and Iran are victorious on Day 3

Lebanon and Iran were victorious on Day 3 of the WABA 2016. Lebanon overcame Syria 90:79 to improve at 1-1 record. Lebanon led comfortably in the first two quarters, while Syria hit back thanks to superstar Michel Maadanly in the third quarter. In the last frame Lebanon needed a massive 22-9 surge to seal the victory. Geron Johnson (190-G-92, college: Memphis) had 39 points and Ali Mezher (182-PG-94) added 16 points.
Iran meanwhile outscored Iraq 70:59. Iran dominated the first half and managed to take a 15-point lead at the halftime. Iraq came back with two narrow wins in the second half, but could not keep up with the opponent.
