Iran and Jordan post straight victories at the start of 2016 tournament

Iran and Jordan posted back-to-back victories at the start of WABA 2016 to take 2-0 records on top. In Day 1 Iran overcame Lebanon 81:75 as the made the final push after a 69-69 tie on the board. Tonight Iran did not leave any chances for Syria in a 93-63 win. Iran started the game with a 29-16 surge and never looked behind after.
Jordan meanwhile beat Syria in the opener 86:63. Mahmoud Abdeen (191-PG-87) top-scored for the winners with 25 points, while Zaid Abbas (203-F-83) netted 17. Michaux replied with 23 points in the losing effort. Tonight Jordan grabbed an 84:80 win over Iraq.
