VBA Round 2 (Regular Season): Buffaloes lose to Dolphins

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in VBA. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game of round 2 took place in Nha Trang where Dolphins crushed Buffaloes 113-81 on Wednesday night. Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Buffaloes' 52. Dolphins forced 23 Buffaloes turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Mykal Jenkins (202-2000, college: St.Petersburg) had a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and British forward Joe Mvuezolo (197-1996, college: Montana St.) chipped in 32 points during the contest. American forward Eric Frederick (203-1989, college: TxWes) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Buffaloes will play next round against strong Catfish trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Dolphins will try to continue on its current victory against Dragons in Danang.
Heat defeated Wings in Saigon 89-82. American swingman Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) notched a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Jevonnie Scott supported him with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Chrishon Briggs (195-1995, college: CSUB) did not help to save the game for City Wings. Wings' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Buffaloes in Saigon on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Heat 87-84. The best player for the winners was Elijah Weaver who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists. Hassan Thomas produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. Buffaloes' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Heat will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Buffaloes will play against Catfish in Can Tho and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The former international guard Khoa Dang Tran Dang (183-1997) added 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the guests. Wings' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
