The most crucial game of the last round was a loss ofBuffaloes in Saigon on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Heat 87-84 . Heat outrebounded Buffaloes 44-31 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American swingman Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists. Canadian forward Jevonnie Scott (201-2000, college: Brock) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Hassan Thomas (203-1996, college: Emporia St.) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Eric Frederick (203-1989, college: TxWes) added 22 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Buffaloes players scored in double figures. Buffaloes' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
