VBA Round 1: Buffaloes lose to Wings

The Regular Season in VBA just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Buffaloes in Hanoi on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by Wings 85-84. Strangely Buffaloes outrebounded Wings 46-0 including a 36- advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward De'Sean Parsons (201-1995, college: Portland St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and point guard Devon Thomas (183-1994, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side forward Shane Henry (203-1993, college: Virginia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks. Wings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Buffaloes will play at home against Heat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Danang was also worth to mention about. Catfish played at the court of Dragons. Catfish managed to secure a 4-point victory 76-72. American center DeAngelo De Angelo (203-1990, college: WSU) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds for the winning side and Sang Dinh Thanh accounted for 14 points and 7 assists. Filipino point guard Michael Soy (182-1997, college: Algonquin) came up with 19 points and 5 assists for Dragons in the defeat. Catfish will play against Warriors in Hanoi in the next round. Dragons will play at home against Buffaloes to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Hanoi was also quite interesting. Wings played at the court of Warriors. Wings managed to secure a 8-point victory 91-83 on Friday. DeSean Parsons fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Wings' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Arsenije Vuckovic produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds for lost side. Wings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Warriors will play against Catfish in Can Tho and hope to win that game.

Filipino point guard Michael Soy (182-1997, college: Algonquin) came up with 19 points and 5 assists and American center Kenneth Kenneth (206-1986, college: Cumberland, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Dragons in the defeat. Five Dragons players scored in double figures. Catfish will play against Warriors in Hanoi in the next round. Dragons will play at home against Buffaloes to get more than just one victory in their record.
