Hanoi Buffaloes clinched VBA title. They overcame Nhatrang Dolphins in the third game of the championship series to complete the sweep. The game was mostly controlled by Buffaloes. Dolphins managed to win third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for swingman Tamyrik Fields (198-1996, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. He was named the Finals MVP. Point guard DaQuan Bracey (180-1997, college: La Tech) helped adding 23 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Mykal Jenkins (202-2000, college: St.Petersburg) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Jaylyn Richardson (189-1998, college: WOU) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
