Saigon Heat celebrated VBA title. They overcame Catfish in the third game of the championship series to complete the sweep. The game was mostly controlled by Heat. Catfish managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Heat won last quarter 31-21. The best player for the winners was American swingman Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) who scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian forward Jevonnie Scott (201-2000, college: Brock) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Dakota Zinser (191-1995, college: PBA) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively.

The standout Canadian forward Jevonnie Scott was named the Player of the Year of the championship-winning Saigon Heat. He graduated from the Brock last year. Scott received multiple other awards, was voted the Forward of the Year, Import Player of the Year and was selected to the First Team. His excellent performance assisted his team in beating the Catfish 3 to 0 in the final series. Scott was the Player of the Week honoree twice during the 24 campaign. He averaged 21 points and over 9 rebounds per game in the league. Scott has totalled 11 games of 20 or more points on the year and recorded 30 or more points in 4 games. He registered double-doubles in 11 games at the event. Scott's 38 points against the Dragons were the most he scored in the 2024 season. All of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. Scott's team won the OUA Central Division Regular Season in 2023.

Weaver logged double-doubles in 8 games at the event. His 37 points against the City Wings were the most he scored in the 2024 season. All of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. Weaver's team was the regular season runner-up in the Atlantic 10 in 2022.
George Peterson, 28-year old American guard from the Hanoi Buffaloes, was honored as the Guard of the Year at the Vietnam Basketball Association. He is ex the Western Carolina from 2018. Peterson was also named to the First Team. He registered almost 17 points per game over the season in the league. Peterson received Player of the Week award in the league. He led the VBA in assists per game with over 8. Peterson has totalled 6 games of 20 or more points and notched double-doubles in 2 games on the year. His 29 points against the Dragons were the most he scored in the 2024 season.
Ruot Monyyong, American forward from the Hanoi Buffaloes, earned the Center of the Year of Vietnam Basketball Association. He is alumni of the UALR from 2021. Monyyong also earned a spot in the First Team. His playmaking prowess was on full display as he secured the second position in rebounds per game averaging almost 15. Monyyong also averaged over 16 points per game in the league. He has totalled 5 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 12 games on the year. Monyyong's 27 points against the City Wings were the most he scored in the 2024 season. He won the NJCAA D1 District XII championship title in 2019.
Dakota Zinser, 28-year old American guard from the Can Tho Catfish, was voted to the First Team at the Vietnam Basketball Association. He graduated from the Palm Beach Atlantic six years ago. Zinser's best performance made his team reach the finals but they unfortunately lost against the Heat 0 to 3. He registered over 19 points and 6 rebounds per game that season in the league. Zinser has totalled 10 games of 20 or more points on the year and had 30 or more points in 2 games. He recorded double-doubles in 2 games at the event. Zinser's 40 points against the Heat were the most he scored in the 2024 season.
