UAE's Al-Ahli wins GCC basketball champions league - Jun 13, 2015

Al Ahli SC of the United Arab Emirates won the GCC Basketball Champions League after beating Kuwait SC 80-67 on Saturday, in a clash the host team failed to match performance of the visitors. The two teams exchanged baskets in the first quarter but Al-Ahli succeeded in ending the period leading by three points, 18-15. Al Ahli continued their domination of the boards, building on their score and ending the first half 33-30. The UAE team was more determined to win the clash and eventually succeeded in clinching the tournament. Kuwait SC participated six times in the GCC Champions League and won the championship once. Manama SC of Bahrain won the Bronze medals after a thrilling victory over Al-Sadd of Qatar 75-73.

Al Ahli clinch D1 title - Apr 17, 2015

Al Ahli celebrated the National League title. They overcame Al Shabab in the title series. Al Ahli earned an 85:76 victory in the decisive game of the championship series to conquer the trophy. The victory marked the fourth consecutive title for Al Ahli. The team also boasts of 8 League titles in its history. Al Wasl finished third in the championship.

Al Ahli conquered the Federation Cup trophy. They overcame Al Nasr 77:65 in the Final. Al Ahli dominated from start to finish in this one. They registered a 54:39 halftime lead. Al Ahli protected the lead well throughout the second half and raced to the triumph. Al Ahli therefore piled up another trophy of the season as they clinched D1 title earlier in the season.
