Defending champion Shabab Al Ahli Dubai (ULB) landed American 201cm guard Deshawndre Washington (college: NM State) for new season. It is actually his comeback to Dubai as he has played here before. Washington played this summer at The Shine (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. In only one TBT game just recently he had very impressive stats: 16 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks. He also played for Ahly Benghazi (D1) in Libyan league.
Washington has played previously professionally in Mexico (Halcones Rojos) and ABA (Chicago Fury).
He received All-Panhandle Conference Player of the Year award back in 2022.
Washington graduated from New Mexico State University in 2023 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: Northwest Florida State College, South Suburban College, Robert Morris University.
