Al Wahda lands Touhami Ghazoul

Touhami Ghazoul

Al Wahda Abu Dhabi (ULB) tabbed experienced 37-year old Algeria 209cm center Touhami Ghazoul (college: North Dakota State of Science) for new season. He played most recently at Al Morog in Libyan D1 league.
His team was regular season runner-up in Libyan League Group 1 in 2024.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Al Safa of Safwa (Division 1) in Saudi Arabian league.
He represented Algeria at the Afrobasket Championship in Rades (Tunisia) nine years ago. During this event he scored an average of 3.3 points per game and had 2.4 rebounds per game.
Ghazoul is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in four different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with Asian, African and of course North American leagues. Ghazoul has played previously professionally in Oman (An Nasr), Saudi Arabia (Al Wehda and Al Salam), Syria (Al Karameh) and Algeria (GS Petroliers).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Wahda.
He attended North Dakota State of Science until 2007 and it will be his 18th (!!!) season in pro basketball. His team was regular season runner-up in Libyan League Group 1 in 2024.
