Muhammet Begenjov
Center Muhammet Begenjov (198-C-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for Gurlushikchi, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Dragon Oil (#5, 8-7) 68-63. Gurlushikchi maintains the 4th position in Turkmen NBLT. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Gurlushikchi will need more victories to improve their 12-5 record. In the team's last game Begenjov had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Gurlushikchi, through which he has constantly improved. Muhammet Begenjov has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.8ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 14.7rpg) and averages impressive 59.1% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young Azat Cherkezov (188-G/F-98) of Galkan. Cherkezov had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Galkan to another comfortable win 81-62 over slightly lower-ranked Gyrat (#8, 3-14) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Galkan to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-11 record. Cherkezov is one of the most experienced players at Galkan and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third on the list of top players last round was former international guard Kerim Satylov (188-SG-88) of Gyrat (#8). Satylov showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, twenty one rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Satylov's great performance Gyrat lost 62-81 to slightly higher-ranked Galkan (#6, 6-11). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Gyrat can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-14 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Satylov has a very solid season. In 5 games in Turkmenistan he scored 23.8ppg.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
