Nazipov's 21 points and 7 rebounds give him Player of the Week award- June 7, 2020
He had the game-high 21 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Talyp in his team's victory, helping them to crush Dragon Oil (#5, 8-7) with 16-point margin 86-70. Talyp maintains the 3rd position in Turkmen league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Talyp will need more victories to improve their 12-5 record. In the team's last game Nazipov had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Talyp's top player in his first season with the team. Nazipov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 16.3ppg) and averages solid 58.0% FGP. Second best performed player last round was Denis Zazulia (197-F-92) of Dragon Oil. He is a forward in his first (recently joined) season at Dragon Oil. In the last game Zazulia recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Dragon Oil to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Burgut (#9, 2-15) 91-58. Dragon Oil's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 8-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Zazulia is one of the most experienced players at Dragon Oil and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Third place about best performers goes to another Dragon Oil's star - swingman Mamed Satlikov (184-F/G-92). Satlikov got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds . Despite Satlikov's great performance Dragon Oil lost 70-86 to slightly higher-ranked Talyp (#3, 12-5). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The last thing Dragon Oil needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 7 lost games. Satlikov has a very solid season. In 12 games in Turkmenistan he scored 16.3ppg. He also has 5.5rpg and and 3PT: 44.4%. Other top performing players last week: 4. Eziz Mavyev (182-G-92) of Dragon Oil - 13 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists 5.
