Hojamedov number one in Turkmenistan for round 15

Forward Merdan Hojamedov (200-F-95) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked CSKA, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Balkan (#7, 3-9) with 31-point margin 79-48. CSKA maintains the 2nd position in Turkmen NBLT. CSKA has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team's last game Hojamedov had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at CSKA and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Merdan Hojamedov has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.8ppg), rebounds (5th best: 12.6rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 63.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old former international shooting guard Kerim Satylov (188-SG-88) of Gyrat. Satylov had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Gyrat lost that overtime game 80-87 to slightly lower-ranked Burgut (#9, 2-13). Gyrat is still second from the bottom in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Gyrat managed to get this year. Satylov is a newcomer at Gyrat, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Gyrat's star - Azimberdy Amanberdiev (192-C/F). Amanberdiev scored 23 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Amanberdiev's great performance Gyrat lost 80-87 in overtime to slightly lower-ranked Burgut (#9, 2-13). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Gyrat can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-11 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Amanberdiev has individually a great season in Turkmenistan. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (8th best).

9. Shalar Hydyrov (208-C-02) of Balkan - 10 points and 12 rebounds
10. Gennadiy Morozov (201-F) of Balkan - 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists
