Balkan - CSKA 48-79 The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked CSKA (13-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Balkan (3-9). CSKA smashed Balkan 79-48. The game without a history. CSKA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Balkan's 28. CSKA forced 30 Balkan turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for forward Merdan Hojamedov (200-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Grigori Zakharov (192) accounted for 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four CSKA players scored in double figures. Batyr Bayramaliev (187) came up with 10 points and 8 rebounds and center Shalar Hydyrov (208-2) added 4 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Balkan in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Binagyar. Balkan lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost. Fifth ranked Dragon Oil (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Galkan (5-9). Dragon Oil defeated Galkan 67-56 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Galkan. The game was mostly controlled by Dragon Oil. Galkan managed to win third quarter 11-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dragon Oil forced 22 Galkan turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Eziz Mavyev (182-92) who scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Center Parahat Saparaliev (200-87) chipped in 7 points and 18 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Azat Cherkezov (188-98) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and center Atamyrat Jumayev added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragon Oil maintains fifth place with 7-5 record. Galkan at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Fourth ranked Talyp (10-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Balkan (3-9). Talyp defeated Balkan 80-69. The game was mostly controlled by Talyp. Balkan was better in fourth quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Talyp forced 28 Balkan turnovers. Strangely Balkan outrebounded Talyp 50-36 including 23 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for forward Yevgeniy Nazipov (189-1) who led his team to a victory with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Suleyman Orazov (183-97) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Forward Gennadiy Morozov (201) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Muhammed Arazmammedov (180) added 23 points and 4 steals in the effort for Balkan. Four Balkan players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Talyp. They moved-up to third place. Balkan lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime then Gyrat managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Burgut who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-7. They also forced 21 Gyrat turnovers. It was a great evening for center Hodjanepes Hodjanepesov (-3) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Suleyman Nuriev (178-2) helped adding 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Burgut players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Kerim Satylov (188-88) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Azimberdy Amanberdiev (192) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Burgut maintains ninth place with 2-13 record. Gyrat lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost.
