Kerim Mammetmuradov
22-year old point guard Kerim Mammetmuradov (180-PG-97) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Binagyar and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 29 points adding six rebounds and six assists for Binagyar in his team's victory, helping them to crush Dragon Oil (#5, 7-5) with 20-point margin 91-71. It allowed Binagyar to consolidate first place in the Turkmen league. Binagyar has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team's last game Mammetmuradov had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Binagyar's top player in his first season with the team. Mammetmuradov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.6ppg), assists (3rd best: 5.2apg) and averages solid 2.9spg.
Second best performed player last round was Merdan Hojamedov (200-F-95) of league's second-best CSKA. He is a forward in his second season at CSKA. In the last game Hojamedov recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led CSKA to another comfortable win 85-66 over the lower-ranked Dragon Oil (#5, 7-5) being unquestionably team leader. CSKA's second position in the standings has not changed. His team belongs to top of the standings with 13-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Hojamedov is well-known at CSKA and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#5). He also registered 12.6 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to another Binagyar's star - guard Alihan Bekchanov (185-G-97). Bekchanov showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Binagyar, helping his team with a 82-69 easy win against the lower-ranked Burgut (#9, 2-13). Many experts and fans count Binagyar as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 13 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Bekchanov has a great season in Turkmenistan. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (8th best) and assists with 3.7apg (6th best). He also has 2.5spg and FGP: 56.2%.
