TEBA Round 2 (Regular Season): Coyotes hand first loss to Manta Rays

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in TEBA. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Manta Rays in Hua Hin on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Coyotes 84-74. Coyotes dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Manta Rays' 34. Coyotes forced 25 Manta Rays turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. orchestrated the victory by scoring 6 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Alex Rodriguez replied with 23 points and 4 assists for Manta Rays. Coyotes is looking forward to face Mammoths in Phuket in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Manta Rays will play at home against Mammoths and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of Hawks against Red Dragons on Sunday night. Visiting Hawks were crushed by Red Dragons in Pattaya 126-81. American guard Mark-Anthony Fidelis (185, college: Salem) had a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 11 assists (on 17-of-21 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Day Narbonne chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Red Dragons' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. responded with 28 points and 4 steals. Red Dragons will play against Boars in Buriram in the next round. Hawks will play on the road against Bears in Suphan Buri and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Sharks which played road game in Pattani against Raptors. Sharks had an easy win 89-70. Dequandre Dentmond notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort. Even 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by Marcus Scott did not help to save the game for Raptors. Raptors' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sharks will meet Crocodiles in the next round. Raptors will play against Hawks and hope to win that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: Mammoths beat Boars on the road 98-92. Winless Crocodiles lost to undefeated Coyotes on its own court 74-83. Sharks managed to outperform Bears in Bangkok 81-66.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 15 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists by Nattapon Kupadit of Sharks.



Manta Rays - Coyotes 74-84

Raptors - Sharks 70-89

An interesting game for Sharks which played road game in Pattani against Raptors. Sharks had an easy win 89-70. Sharks outrebounded Raptors 49-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Dequandre Dentmond notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Mohammed Diaby supported him with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. Even 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by American guard Mark-Anthony Fidelis (185, college: Salem) did not help to save the game for Raptors. His fellow American import guard Collin Irby (190, college: JWU, NC) added 16 points for the hosts. Raptors' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sharks will meet Crocodiles in the next round. Raptors will play against Hawks and hope to win that game.

Boars - Mammoths 92-98

No shocking result in a game when Mammoths beat Boars in Buriram 98-92 on Saturday. Mammoths made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Boars turnovers. Mammoths looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Daylon Potts notched a double-double by scoring 28 points, 24 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and Pongsatorn Daoduek supported him with 26 points. Even a double-double of 40 points (!!!), 39 rebounds and 8 blocks by American guard Jordan Robinson (195-1996, college: North Park) did not help to save the game for Boars. Samuel Okorie added 8 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Five Mammoths and four Boars players scored in double figures. Mammoths will meet Coyotes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boars will play against Red Dragons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very important is a road loss of Hawks against Red Dragons on Sunday night. Visiting Hawks were crushed by Red Dragons in Pattaya 126-81. Red Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Hawks' 56. They outrebounded Hawks 55-19 including a 41-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Red Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 38 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Hawks' players. American guard Mark-Anthony Fidelis (185, college: Salem) had a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 11 assists (on 17-of-21 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Day Narbonne chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Very expected game when Crocodiles lost to Coyotes in Chumphon 74-83 on Sunday. Coyotes dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Crocodiles' 32. Coyotes forced 23 Crocodiles turnovers. Thasaphon Rueangdech notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 19 rebounds to lead the effort and Bandit Janthong supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals. Five Coyotes players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by Pitipat Saicharoen did not help to save the game for Crocodiles. Rene Alexandre added 14 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Crocodiles' coach tested twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Coyotes will meet at home Mammoths in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Crocodiles will play against Sharks and hope to win that game.

Even 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Thanaphat Thiangtong did not help to save the game for Bears. Khalyl Simmons added 17 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Sharks will meet Crocodiles in the next round. Bears will play against Hawks and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
