American Guard Blayton Williams (190-G) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Thailand Gorillas and receives a Hoops Agents TGBL Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 34 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Naga Hunters (#10, 1-7) 86-71. Gorillas maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Thailand TGBL. They are still close to the very top. Gorillas would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Gorillas' top player in his first season with the team. Mississippi College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (5th best: 20.5ppg), rebounds (9th best: 10.8rpg), assists (5th best: 6.8apg) and averages solid 51.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Prince Walker (193-PG) of top-ranked ST Grizzlies. He is American guard in his first season at ST Grizzlies. In the last game Walker recorded an impressive double-double of 37 points and 24 rebounds. Bad luck as Grizzlies lost that game 69-75 to the lower-ranked New Force (#4, 5-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Fire Division. ST Grizzlies still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 1st loss this season, while they won 7 other games. Walker is a newcomer at ST Grizzlies and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Chris Martin (195-F-1994) of West Nonthaburi (#3). Martin got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for seventeen rebounds . He was a key player of W.Nonthaburi, leading his team to a 97-73 easy win against the lower-ranked RMUTT (#6, 3-5). W.Nonthaburi needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Fire Division. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Martin has a great season in Thailand. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (3rd best).
