Mbachu number one in Thailand TGBL for round 6 (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Victor Mbachu (188-G-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for New Era Elks, receiving a Hoops Agents TGBL Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (49 points, six rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Shoot it Dragons (#6, 3-3) 74-68. Elks is placed at 4th position in Thailand TGBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. New Era E. will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Mbachu had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Elks's top player in his first season with the team. Former The University of Texas at El Paso star has very solid stats this year. Mbachu is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.8ppg. Mbachu is in league's top in assists (8th best: 5.8apg) and averages impressive 62.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was American Kaevon Anderson (190-PG) of RMUTT. Anderson had a very good evening with a triple-double of 20 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists. Of course RMUTT cruised to a 82-73 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Sathorn G. (#9, 2-4). RMUTT's 5th position in Fire Division has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Anderson is a newcomer at RMUTT, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Javan Smith (190-G-1996) of New Force BC (#6). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . Despite Smith's great performance the New Force lost 88-90 to W.Nonthaburi (3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing New Force needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Fire Division. Their record is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Smith has a great season in Thailand. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.0ppg (4th best). Smith attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

9. Aquil Spates (185-G) of Bangkok G. - 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Bryce McGill (195-F/G-1999) of Overseas S. - 38 points and 3 rebounds
