TGBL Round 2 of Regular Season

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in TGBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

First defeat of league's leader Fully Feared against New Force 39-36 was the most important game of the last round. orchestrated the victory by scoring 5 points and 9 rebounds. contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-Malaysian guard Michael Oh (188, agency: Fully Feared Sports) replied with 11 points and 9 rebounds for Fully Feared. Fully Feared will play next round against W.Nonthaburi trying to make it back to the top of the standings. New Force will try to continue on its current victory against Gorillas at home.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Goblins on the court of Shoot it Dragons. Visitors were defeated by Shoot it Dragons 88-79. scored 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Eric Freeman chipped in 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Christopher Bradford responded with 38 points (!!!) and 7 assists. Shoot it Dragons will play against W.Wolves in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Goblins will play against Overseas S. to get more than just one victory in their record.
An interesting game was also a 25-point tough home defeat of Bangkok G. in a game versus Coastal C. 79-54. Mancer Wilson notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds by Ian Donaldson did not help to save the game for Gladiators. Coastal C. will meet Dynasty D. in the next round. Bangkok G. will play against Urban R. and hope to win that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: ST Grizzlies smashed Bangkok W. on the road 89-55. W.Nonthaburi destroyed Naga Hunters on its own court 80-40. Gorillas outscored Sathorn G. in a road game 101-76. CNX Orion recorded a loss to Overseas S. at home 60-64. New Era E. defeated Dynasty D. on the opponent's court 65-54. RMUTT lost to Raw Camp in a home game 71-78. Urban R. lost to W.Wolves on the road 61-72.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 19 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists by Demonte Demore of W.Wolves.



Bangkok W. - ST Grizzlies 55-89

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Grizzlies' road victory over Wolverines in Bangkok 89-55 on Sunday. ST Grizzlies dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Wolverines's 36. ST Grizzlies forced 20 Bangkok W. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Bangkok W.'s players. notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the effort and supported him with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Grizzlies players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 17 rebounds by Chaiyakul Boonyakasem did not help to save the game for Bangkok W.. Willie Bradley added 16 points for the hosts. Grizzlies will meet at home Raw Camp in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Wolverines will play against Sathorn G. and hope to win that game.

Gorillas outrebounded Sathorn G. 43-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gorillas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. notched a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and supported him with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 28 points and 4 assists by Maurice Butler did not help to save the game for Sathorn G.. Jalen Hardy added 22 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Raw Camp had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American guard Donald Vaughn (195-1990, college: VWU) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and supported him with 20 points and 6 assists. Vaughn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds by did not help to save the game for RMUTT. Kaevon Anderson added 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the hosts. RMUTT's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sharks will meet ST Grizzlies in the next round.
