TJ Shoffner's triple-double lands him TGBL Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

American TJ Shoffner (178-PG) had an amazing evening in the last round for ST Grizzlies and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents TGBL Player of the Week award for round 1.
The playmaker recorded a triple-double of 26 points adding also 12 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team RMUTT (#9, 0-2) with 22-point margin 86-64. Grizzlies is placed at 4th position in Thailand TGBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and ST Grizzlies won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Shoffner had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Grizzlies' top player in his first season with the team. Bethesda University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Shoffner is in league's top in points (7th best: 24.0ppg) and averages solid 3.0spg and 66.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another ST Grizzlies' star - American point guard Prince Walker (193-PG). Walker impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 16 rebounds. Of course together with Shoffner he helped ST Grizzlies with another comfortable win outscoring RMUTT (0-2) 86-64. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Walker is a newcomer at Grizzlies and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Ian Donaldson (195-SG) of Bangkok Gladiators (#8). Donaldson scored 25 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). Despite Donaldson's great performance the Gladiators lost 73-76 to New Era E. (#1, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Bangkok G. can only dream about fighting for top spots in Water Division. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Donaldson has individually a great season in Thailand. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.5ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 14.5rpg (#1 in league).

9. Victor Mbachu (188-G-1992) of New Era E. - 33 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Kurt Calaguio (175-PG) of Raw Camp - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
