Hughes number one in Thailand BTL for round 11

American Guard Daisone Hughes (189-G-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for Thailand Gorillas, receiving a Hoops Agents BTL Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 51 points and 14 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Pythons (#8, 3-7) 85-101. Gorillas is placed at 9th position in Thailand BTL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Hughes had a remarkable 52.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gorillas' top player in his first season with the team. Former Western Oregon University star has very solid stats this year. Hughes is league's best scorer averaging so far 36.0ppg. Hughes is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 15.2rpg), assists (9th best: 5.5apg) and averages impressive 4.5spg and 51.5% FGP. Worth to mention Hughes played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Shaheed Davis (206-PF-1994) of Crypto Cobra Chiangrai. Davis had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Crypto Cobra cruised to a 91-79 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Banvas (#5, 6-4). Crypto Cobra's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Davis is a newcomer at Crypto Cobra, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.6ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 12.1rpg and 5.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Mali forward Ibrahim Diaby (197-F-2001) of Thai General Equipment (#4). Diaby showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Diaby's great performance the TGE lost 76-84 to #2 ranked Shoot it Dragons. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing TGE needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Diaby has a great season in Thailand. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.9apg (7th best). He also has 2.8spg, 1.8bpg and a FGP of 55.9%.
