Hughes' double-double lands him BTL Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old American guard Daisone Hughes (189-G-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for Thailand Gorillas and receives a Hoops Agents BTL Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 43 points and 35 rebounds, while his team beat Warriors (1-9) 87-79. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Gorillas is placed at 9th position in Thailand BTL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Hughes had a remarkable 56.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gorillas' top player in his first season with the team. Western Oregon University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hughes is league's best scorer averaging so far 34.5ppg. Hughes is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 15.3rpg), assists (9th best: 5.3apg) and averages solid 4.8spg and 51.4% FGP. Worth to mention Hughes played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Donald Vaughn (195-F-1990) of Air Force. He is American forward in his first season at Air Force. In the last game Vaughn recorded an impressive double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Air Force cruised to a 101-89 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Pythons (#8, 3-7). This victory allowed Air Force to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Vaughn is a newcomer at Air Force and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. Former Virginia Wesleyan University star Vaughn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Ibrahim Diaby (197-F-2001) of Thai General Equipment (#4). Diaby showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 12 assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Diaby's great performance the TGE lost 83-90 to #3 ranked Crypto Cobra. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing TGE needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Diaby has a great season in Thailand. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.1apg (6th best). He also has 2.9spg, 1.7bpg and a FGP of 55.1%.
